Why we work with cambria

“Why Cambria? There are so many quartz brands out there.”

I get asked this question so often (among many others) and as a business owner I always have to make decisions that are best suited to my clientele but also to what fits my brand. So to give you some perspective or perhaps a story line that answers the why, I’ve attached a quick little narrative below that I often use to explain to those who ask.

Back when I started my career, I worked for a couple companies that would supply whoever gave them the “best deal” on countertops but the best deal however was not always suited to the client or their daily usage.
It was so strange to me that instead of investing in quality in one of the biggest renovations you’ll ever do in your home you would choose to “save money” on the literal thing that you use daily (and when I say use I mean prep, cook, clean, sit, work at and so many other things).
Now I know, budgets can be tight and sometimes sacrifices have to be made (I say this because of the experience with the places I’ve lived and even with my own showroom) but I would never look to offer a client a product I wouldn’t put in my own home.

So this relates directly back to the “why Cambria” question - which I don’t really feel is the right question anymore, I feel like we should be asking ourselves “why not Cambria?”.

I chose to solely supply my customers with Cambria quartz countertops in their home because not only are they North American Made and owned, they are a family owned company with over 60 years experience in business. Cambria also has one of the best warranties on the market for their product. They offer a limited lifetime warranty that they fully back - mishaps and accidents happen and when my clients have had small issues with their countertops Cambria has come out in full force to rectify issues and make sure the customer loves their countertops. The warranty is also transferable which means if you sell your home the new owner doesn’t lose out on the benefits of the warranty. They offer over 200 colours and are leaders in manufacturing unique looking slabs of quartz that be used in a variety of ways that is beyond just countertops.

Now you may be asking yourself okay great Markie… I am sold on the Cambria but what is quartz and what are the benefits of it? So I’m here to tell you why I would put quartz in my home. Quartz is a natural stone that fabricators mill down and combine with pigment and binders to create a solid surface material. The material is non-porous/non-absorbent which it wont absorb any spills, stains, or powders left on it. This also makes it an ideal prep surface because it doesn’t absorb any moisture from raw or uncooked food. Quartz is a much harder stone in comparison to granite or marble and for this reason it’s much less likely to chip or crack. Quartz is maintenance free which means it never requires any sealing, it just needs regular cleaning with a mild soap cleanser like dish soap and a non-abrasive cloth.

I could really go on and on about Cambria and quartz in general but perhaps I will save that for another blog post.

Any-who, I hope this was an educational read and if you are thinking about renovating you should highly consider Cambria for your renovation.

Cheers,

Markie.
