Out with the old, and in with the new! This year is already shaping up to be one of the trendiest years to date. We are seeing loads of new ideas and trends for 2022, and we are here for it! We have put together a list of the biggest kitchen trends you can expect to see this year.
Mixed Metals
Say goodbye to the days of having one uniform metal in your kitchen! We are embracing the look of mixed metals, and love finding the perfect balance of metal tones and textures to really make a space pop. Don’t be afraid to mix and match chic combinations like black fixtures and gold handles. You might be surprised by how much you love it!
Coffee Bars
A beautiful and practical kitchen addition, built-in coffee bars are soaring in popularity! With more people working from home, a custom coffee station seems less like an bonus feature and more of a necessity. Make it perfectly yours by adding drawers with a custom organization space, a mini fridge for coffee essentials, and open shelving for coffee mugs and accessories!
Seamless Backsplash
While we still love a textured backsplash, there is something so beautiful and elegant about a seamless transition. Countertops wrapping up the walls, delivers a very modern, show-stopping look and is quickly becoming one of our favourite trends of 2022!
Hues of blue & green
Bring on the colour! This year we’ll be seeing a stark contrast in colour trends. There is no denying that white’s and neutrals will always have their place in the kitchen, but more clients are shifting to hues of blues and greens for their cabinetry. It brings a total wow factor to your home, and is a great way to show off your bold or creative side!
Semi-Open Concept
Arguably one of the biggest changes we are seeing is the curiosity and desire to have a semi-open concept kitchen! More clients are seeing the value of having a partially closed off kitchen, and giving the dining room its own space. We were a bit skeptical at first, but have totally jumped on board with this trend!
