Connecting

A Night for Windsor Women in Business and Entrepreneurship

A cool night in September turned into so much more. It turned into an evening of making new connections and fostering old connections within the Windsor Women in business community. We are incredibly grateful to have hosted such an inspiring group of professionals and to fuel our minds with fresh ideas and inspiring conversations.

Prior to the guest’s arrival, we created a small questionnaire that we placed on a few tables. It consisted of three simple questions:

-Your best advice to a new woman in business

-Your best tip to stay motivated in business

-Your hope for the future of women in business & entrepreneurship

We received a handful of answers and would love to share the ones that made us stop a little in our tracks! We have no doubts that based on all the responses and all the women we were so fortunate to connect with, that the future of Windsor-Essex is so bright. We are ready and excited to see what’s in store from all these change makers.

Your best advice to a new woman in business

Cry when you need to, but make sure you’re laughing more. -Nicole @Taureanev

Keep plugging away & never give up! Abbey @Aholelottadonuts

Your best tip to stay motivated in business

Do what motivates you, keep your passion. -Alex @TheMeltMarket

Think about what made you love your business when you started. -Hallie @OrchidMedia.Marketing

Your hope for the future of women in business & entrepreneurship

More collaboration over competition. -Allie @WhiskeyJackBoutique

I hope to see more businesses and small shops being utilized over big box stores. Shop local! - Brittany @Popit_Events

Ultimately what we learned while Connecting, is that the force of women in business is unstoppable. Not just in Windsor-Essex but in communities across the world. Continue to push yourself, trust the process and recognize that so many others are cheering you on!

Cheers friends,

Markie + Madeline.
